Metuchen car show draws more than 100 vehicles for EMS fundraiser
From vintage cars to monster trucks, this year's lineup packed the lot to support the borough's all-volunteer emergency squad

Metuchen’s annual charity car show rolled into town this weekend, drawing more than 100 vehicles to benefit Metuchen EMS.
The lineup ranged from vintage rides dating back to the 1920s to motorcycles and monster trucks. Take a look through the gallery below.

The show has raised more than $32,700 for the all-volunteer squad since 2011. Organizer Ben Deutschman has run the event largely on his own for the past 15 years.
Metuchen EMS relies on the fundraiser and other community support to cover equipment costs, training, and certifications for its volunteers. The squad answers more than 400 calls a year and does not bill patients for its services.
