A home on Beech Street became the scene of an early morning burglary in progress on February 4, 2026, when Cranford Police responded to a call at approximately 4:26 a.m., authorities said.
Investigators reported that at least one male suspect gained entry through a first-floor window, which was damaged during the break-in. The resident encountered the intruder inside the home and, after a brief physical struggle, the suspect fled before officers arrived.
Police noted that another individual was observed waiting in a white mid-size SUV in the area just before and after the incident. Authorities are urging neighbors and drivers in the area to check their doorbell camera or other surveillance footage for relevant video that could assist the investigation.
